This review is for the mums who recently gave birth -- like my sister. It's the UpSpring C-Panty, Compression Underpants.The underpants were designed for C-section mums. It's worn to help them look slimmer and to protect their C-section scar.They are made of 92 per cent nylon and 8 per cent elastane. Meanwhile, its panel is made of 82 per cent nylon and 18 per cent elastane. This makes it breathable while hugging the belly tightly.To protect the scar, the underpants have a built-in silicone panel which also reduces the redness by keeping the scar hydrated. The underpants also allow ease of movement and flexibility.My sister tried this and found it to be very comfortable to use. I got this for her as a gift after learning she had a C-section. This does helpfully close and heal the wound.Overall, I love how this product was made by mums for mums. I highly recommend this to all mums, whether they had a c-section or are just looking for an undergarment they can use to bind their belly after giving birth, although they are a bit expensive.

Comes as a pack of 2 in both a nude and black colour. 92% nylon and 8% elastane. Opening them up, they don't look much and you think how on earth are they going to fit, but the do have alot of stretch to them. Not too much of a struggle to put them on, but does take a little effort and wiggling. I didn't feel as though they go as high up my stomach as they do in the listing pictures. There is a built in silicone panel, which is perfect to protect a c section scar- it does need to be fully healed before you wear them though. The panel sits in the right place on your body. They help smooth out the look of your tummy, aswell as give an extra feel of support. You don't feel like your movement is completely restricted and you're still able to move freely and comfortably. They did feel a little tight to begin with around the legs, giving them their own muffin top look. Hand wash only, they do wash okay, keeping their look shape and size. Being a size 16-18, it's not something I'd wear everyday, I still prefer comfort over my overall look at the moment, but do help me feel better when we dress to go out. They are quite pricey, so not something I could afford to purchase again.

This pair of high waisted compression knickers arrived folded inside a plastic envelope. They feel comfortable enough with decent elasticity and and hold but they could really do with some metal boning to stop them from coming down. The price is just too much compared to other brands I’ve tried. The quality is very nice however.

I gave these to my wife to try and these are her thoughts:I like that the pack includes both a nude pair and a black pair.The pants are a little tight around the leg but provide a good coverage over the stomach and give you a smooth look. The panel over the scar is nice and doesn't rub on your scar at all.As the pants have some compression to them, they're not for wearing too soon after the operation, I would suggest leaving it more than a couple of months, to avoid any ill effects.One small criticism is that they don't have a proper gusset, and I wasn't really comfortable wearing them without extra pants underneath. Especially when they're pressing on your bladder!Currently priced at £71.98 for the pack I think this is a little excessive and there are cheaper products out there which do the same job.

I have not had a C-section but I have had an operation in the past which cut through my abdominal wall vertically and at the time I assumed and was told the muscles would naturally knit back together after being stitched back together supposedly but I have since found this is not the case when loosing weight an exercising. Only to discover I have a 'V' shaped bulge or Navel Diastasis Recti. So my confidence is lacking to look good even though it has now been 15 years since my operation. Normal shapewear are just really uncomfortable due to the location of my scar and this issue and hence why I opted to try these as a form of shapewear. Now these will not push back us what has already healed in my case but these do give me the slimmer figure when worn under clothing and comfortable.
